The Jaguar Journal
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make our 2nd Annual MOMC Purple UP! Carnival an event to remember. From the decorations that filled our campus, to the food, games, music, and activities, our students were treated to a day that we hope made them feel as special as they truly are. We are proud to celebrate and support our military‑connected kids!
We are now entering one of the busiest times of the year, with many exciting activities keeping us on the move.
Our CTE students took their NOCTI certification exams on April 23 and will continue testing on April 27 and May 1.
AP testing is just around the corner! This year, our students are sitting for an impressive 21 AP exams. Testing begins on May 4 and continues through the end of May, including extended testing dates.
Our Jaguars are competing across multiple sports arenas—on the field, on the track, and on the diamond. Soccer is traveling to Naples, track and field is visiting Aviano, and our softball and baseball teams are hosting Naples at home. Stop by NAS 2 to cheer on our Jaguars as they take on the Naples Wildcats!
A special shout‑out goes to our newly formed Middle School Student Council, who have stepped up to take on challenges and contribute meaningfully to our positive school culture. They are hosting an end‑of‑year dance, and we are looking forward to a fabulous time in Knight’s Hall.
Finally, please see the message below from our School Advisory Committee (SAC) Chairperson, Ms. Annaliesse Nassiri:
We have one remaining SAC meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 28, from 16:30–17:30. SAC is responsible for advising on school policies and programs, fostering collaboration, addressing concerns, and helping enhance educational outcomes.
At our most recent meeting, we discussed the risks and challenges associated with increased technology use in the classroom, including digital textbooks, artificial intelligence, and their impact on teaching and learning.
As we look ahead to our final meeting of the year, we would love your input:
- What concerns would you like SAC and the administration to know about?
- Where can SAC help facilitate problem solving?
- What issues should we address together?
We are now accepting agenda topic suggestions. Please take a moment to provide your input SAC Meeting Topics, and we hope to see you at our May 28 meeting.
Did you know:
If your family is PCSing prior to the end of the school year (June 9), please pick up an Accelerated Withdrawal form from the office (or attached to the message in your email). Accelerated withdrawal must be approved by the school and include PCS orders to allow your student to depart with the earliest departure date from school being May 11. It is not too late! Contact the school or your child’s counselor for assistance.

Blowing darts in Physics class?! 🎯
Today students are investigating impulse and momentum by launching darts from different length blow guns and calculating velocity and impulse from their data. They’re exploring how increasing the time a force acts reduces force—Physics in action! 🚀 Next stop: applying this to our egg drop challenge! 🥚
