Welcome to the New Jaguar Journal! We’re excited to share that our Jaguar Journal newsletter now lives on our school website! Each week, when a new edition is published, our community will receive an email with the link, and we’ll also post it on our social media channels.
April is the Month of the Military Child—a special time to celebrate the strength and resilience of our military-connected students. This year, we marked the occasion with an incredible Clap-In, Purple Up Picnic, and Carnival! It was our first time bringing together students, staff, and the wider community for a day full of appreciation and fun—and it was truly unforgettable.
We’re incredibly grateful to our amazing teachers for their energy, flexibility, and support throughout the event. They gave up instructional time to run game booths, take pictures, and record memorable videos with so much enthusiasm.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the PTSO for generously providing Purple Up t-shirts for every student, and to the Sig ES PTA for always showing up with beautiful balloon arches and festive decorations for the Clap In. AFN brought the music, their iconic Eagle mascot, a sound system, and even media coverage to capture the fun. The USO Boot Camp (and burgers) and the Fire/Rescue competition were both big hits with our students.
The Red Cross added to the joy with face painting, while the Commissary donated delicious treats—including the ever-popular “decorate your own” cupcakes. Base Health and Wellness and Community Bank supported us with games and educational activities, and the Security Force lent a helping hand with setup. MWR came through with fun, engaging games that the students loved.
And of course, a huge thank you to our incredible parent volunteers who donated their time, Amazon Wishlist items, equipment, food and amazing baked goods. Your support helped make this celebration truly special.
Special thanks to Ms. Sara Teuscher the master planner with a sky’s the limit attitude and our amazing MFLAC who helps to create a positive, supportive environment every day at SigMHS!
Together, we created a day full of joy, appreciation, and lasting memories. Thank you for making it so meaningful for our students!
